“The first part of the match was difficult as we had assumed on the eve, Cisterna Volley is a team that knows us and knows how to put us under pressure - explained the coach of Itas Trentino Fabio Soli at the end of game 1 - . It put forth a high level in the fundamentals of serving and, above all, a defense that has not allowed us to always keep our attack effective and, more generally, the side-out. We got to the end of the first set in a sprint and we were good at winning it there. In the following sets, the opponent lost its grip on us and we, on the contrary, increased the quality of our game. Thanks to an attack that began to run more efficiently, we were able to keep them away and close the game with a victory and with a few less worries than those who had tormented us during the opening phase".
In four days, on Wednesday the 12th of March at 8.30 pm, the yellow-blue players will return to the field at the ilT quotidiano Arena to play the l first leg of the 2025 CEV Cup semi-final against Ziraat Bank Ankara. Game 2 of the quarterfinals of the Play Off Scudetto SuperLega Credem Banca 2025 will be played instead on Sunday, March the 16th in Cisterna from 18:00 onwards, live on RAI Sport and Radio Dolomiti.
