Incoming market opened with a new spiker: from Cisterna the spanish Jordi Ramon

The market of Itas Trentino men's team, Italian Champions, registers the first incoming operation. To strengthen the 2025/26 roster, it starts with a player who will play in position 4, in the role of spiker. The one-year signing of Spanish Jordi Ramon in the last two seasons in SuperLega at Cisterna di Latina is, in fact, official. It will be the Spanish hammer, who will be twenty-six years old in July, who will complete the spiker set that already consisted of the Azzurri Lavia and Michieletto and the young prodigy Bristot.
A reinforcement of great technical and competitive value, with considerable international experience, who will guarantee a consistent contribution in all the fundamentals from the start of the season. In his previous two years in the Italian league, Jordi has been appreciated as a complete and effective athlete in all fundamentals, qualities that the Trentino public has been able to admire live on five occasions already; three of them in the current calendar year alone. He played a total of 59 matches with the Lazio team between 2023 and 2025, scoring a total of 659 points and registering important numbers: 44% in attack, 18% perfect receptions, 51 blocks and 72 winning serves. It was precisely his great incisiveness on the serve that led him to win the League award as the best aceman of the tournament in his debut season in the SuperLega (2023/24). Before arriving in Italy, he had also played important seasons in Palma de Mallorca, Teruel, Herrsching (Germany) and Narbonne (France), where he came to the attention of Pontine managers.
"I could not refuse the offer made to me by Trentino Volley," - explained Jordi Ramon from Spain, who just last weekend concluded the group stage of the European Golden League with his national team - . "I consider landing in such an important reality a really significant step forward for my career. I have been playing in the Italian league for the past two years, the most beautiful and difficult in the world, and the opportunity to wear the jersey of the reigning champions to try to offer my contribution is definitely a wonderful stimulus. If you get to play in the SuperLega, you never want to leave, let alone if you can play for Trento. I have wonderful memories of the atmosphere at the arena, although, to be fair, I have only ever lost at the ilT quotidiano Arena."
"Ramon is a player who, although still quite young, has already accumulated a lot of experience both internationally and in the Italian league," - are the words of the new Trentino Volley coach Marcelo Mendez - . "I believe he will be able to make a great contribution to our cause, having a very incisive, but potentially even more effective batting, on his side, and remarkable numbers in both attack and reception. It is important to count on athletes with characteristics like his in the new roster." 
Jordy Ramon will wear jersey number 7; he will be the second Spanish player in the yellow-blue’s history after Enrique De la Fuente, a spiker originally from Vigo Pontevedra who was the protagonist of the yellow-blue's historic first save in their debut season in the top Italian league (2000/01). He will arrive in Trento at the end of August, taking into account that his national team will not take part in the World Cup.
