Diatec Trentino is back in the 4° place of the league table of SuperLega UnipolSai 2017/18 thanks to the success of this evening at the PalaOlimpia of Verona. As it happened 22 times before, the 31° Adige’s derby was once again good for the yellow-blues; with the 3-1 achieved on Calzedonia’s field, Lorenzetti’s team ensure itself a direct encounter that could weight heavily on the economy of the regular season. Thanks to Kovacevic who was fighting fit (26 points, 58% in the net area, 2 blocks and 2 aces), Diatec Trentino managed to get to the 2-0 and then they controlled Verona’s return after their success in the third set. This away success was possible not only thanks to Kovacevic but also to the entire team that played very well in the break point phase in which the services of Eder and Kozamernik and the attention in defence of Chiappa and Giannelli had a central role for the final result. Eder (75% in the first set with two blocks and 3 aces) and Capitan Lanza, where the other two Diatec Trentino’s players in the table with a double figure and they perfectly helped Uros in attack.
