Lussemburgo, 9 February 2015
On the day exactly 120 years after William G. Morgan invented this fascinating game in Holyoke, the European Volleyball Confederation is launching a brand new tool to help develop and promote volleyball further towards new horizons. The new CEV mobile app was released this afternoon and is now available globally free for sports fans to download, install and enjoy on their mobile devices.
The app is available for iPhone, iPad and Android smartphones and tablets. It offers mobile users a great new way to follow European volleyball whenever and wherever they are with their new-era gadgets. Along with the latest news from CEV, the app offers competition schedules, results, standings, match statistics, live scores (also for the 2015 CEV Cup where Trentino Volley runs), videos, photos, information about teams and players, and a lot more…
“This app helps us make another step forward in delivering information on our competitions and other activities both to our current fans and to potential new fans among the general public, with this goal being achieved by implementing a series of user-friendly, easy-to-navigate and intuitive features - CEV President André Meyer said - . After joining the world of social media in October and launching the Stars in Motion videos at the beginning of this season’s CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League, we are happy to provide our fans with yet another innovative tool by the time Europe’s elite club competition is entering its most exciting stages. It is also quite symbolic that we are releasing this app on volleyball’s 120th birthday”.
The European Volleyball Confederation developed the app in close partnership with LAOLA1 Multimedia GmbH
