Cucine Lube Civitanova is the first team to collect a success in the final of play-offs Scudetto UnipolSai 2017. The winning team of regular season of SuperLega and of Coppa Italia has conquered Match 1 of the series tonight, confirming yesterday’s forecasts and home court advantage. 3-0 is the final result of a match at Eurosuole Forum in which the home team has controlled the game from the beginning till the end for what concern the score of the single sets but also regarding the game it has showed. It has performed attentive blocks (11 successful blocks in three sets, four performed by Stankovic) and in attack it has always registered high percentages (60% of team work, with a peak of 73% during the third set); the team trained by Blengini has succeeded in leading the game since the beginning and hasn’t allowed its opponents to react attack by attack. Diatec Trentino has struggled to obstruct its former players Sokolov (14 points, with 3 blocks and 69%) and Juantorena (11 with 53%) and more in general the strength of the services performed by their opponents (6 aces although players have made many errors), without showing the means at its disposal. Changes performed by Lorenzetti during the match, that has replaced Stokr, Solè and Colaci with Nelli, Daniele Mazzone and Chiappa, could not change the course of the match, although the opposite-hitter from Tuscany has scored six points with 43%, sided by Lanza (7 points with same percentages). To tie the series, the team from Trento will have to play a totally different match on Thursday May 4th at PalaTrento, on the occasion of Match 2.
