Champions League: Trentino Itas in Pool A with Ziraat Ankara and Tours

The five pools of the Main Phase of the 2026 CEV Champions League were officially set this morning following the draw held at the European Broadcasting Centre in Luxembourg. Trentino Itas, who have already claimed the top European club trophy four times, will begin their fourteenth campaign in the continent’s most prestigious club competition in Pool A. Also in the pool are Turkey’s Ziraat Bankkart Ankara (faced in the CEV Cup semifinals last March), France’s Tours VB, and a team advancing from the qualification rounds (scheduled between October 21 and November 27).
The group stage consists of a total of six matches, split between the first and second leg, starting on December 10, 2025, and concluding on February 18, 2026. The top two teams from each pool and the best third-placed team will advance to the Play Offs; the five second-placed teams and the best third will compete in the Round of 16 with home and away matches (March 4 and 11), which will qualify three teams to the quarterfinals, where the pool winners advance directly.
