Eder Carbonera spikes a quick attack

Trento, 23rd November 2017

Eighteen days after the last match in PalaTrento, Diatec Trentino returned to play in front of the home crowd and celebrated the occasion with a victory. In the early match that was broadcast on TV Yellow-blues defeated Taiwan Excellence Latina by 3-2 and are now back in track for the League. Despite losing the first two sets, the need to win and reaffirm its status in the rank was too strong for Trentino; the team coached by Di Pinto, even without Savani, with Gitto (usually a middle-blocker) reinvented as a spiker, fought tooth and nail until the end. The beginning of the match saw a good approach of Latina before the home team, which struggled to warm up and enter the right mindset, found the confidence to reopen the game. Lorenzetti alternated Hoag, Lanza and Kovacevic (returning from an injury stop) and prevented the opponent from finding adequate countermeasures, but the true leaders on the court were middle-blocker Eder Carbonera (MVP, 8 blocks and 4 aces) and opposite Luca Vettori (best scorer with 20 points and 50% in attack). Thanks to the two points coming from the win, Diatec Trentino is now eighth in the rank along with Taiwan Excellence itself and Revivre Milano.
