Trento, November 6th 2016
On the 8th day of regular season, which puts in front of each other all of the other four main competitors for the high ranking, Diatec Trentino takes the opportunity to obtain a clear success versus Milan and take a great leap forward in the Unipolsai SuperLeague 2016/17 ranking.
Thanks to the 3-0 achieved tonight at PalaTrento versus Revivre and the contemporary defeat of Verona versus Modena, the yellow-blue team has in fact rose to the third place in the ranking, overtaking Verona on the eve of the direct confrontation on Wednesday and holding the pace of Modena and Civitanova, which have both played a one match less.
The seventh success in as many league gams has only been questioned in the first set, when Revivre put determination and a great service phase in the field, trying to make the match hard for the opponents. On 16-21 and later on 22-24, Diatec Trentino has seriously risked to go on 0-1, before recovering and become absolute master of the field, imposing with 29-27 to the advantages. The pace change has begun with Urnaut (MVP with 15 points and 61% of attacks), Stokr (who has replaced Nelli and has been very effective in the break-phase) and the brilliant Giannelli. After having won the first set, the match has been much simpler for Diatec Trentino, because Lanza (71% of attacks) and Daniele Mazzone (64% of attacks with two blocks) have actively contributed to the easy victories of the second and third sets.
