The debut in UnipolSai SuperLega 2017/18 is bitter for Diatec Trentino, defeated at PalaTrento for 2-3 by Revivre Milano. In the day in which the renewed team of Lorenzetti has been presented to the audience, it has been the guests who has celebrated, making immediately blow the PalaTrento factor.
The understandings are still inevitably to find in a team which is changed a lot compared to the past, the absence of Kovacevic (obliged to rest as a precaution) but particularly the great volleyball displayed by the guests, have forced the yellow-blues at a long game to capitulate. Milano therefore did not steal anything, showing to have already understand it’s new coach personality. Andrea Giani has indeed presented a team which has been unscrupulous at the service (11 aces) and tough in wall and defence, which has fought tooth and nail. The prime example is in the third set, when headed by an amazing Abdel-Aziz (very welll-deserved mvp with 28 personal points) has overturned a 16-9 for the locals with so many aces and walls in a 20-25 for the guests. Diatec Trentino in fact,  has always been running after them, failing only in the fifth set thanks to the fighting spirit shown by Lanza (best yellow-blue scorer with 19 points, 4 walls and the 52%), Vettori (17) and the good things displayed by Hoag especially in the second part of match.
