After the differentiated training on Thursday, the day after the Adige derby, Diatec Trentino has started again to train today, Friday 11th, at PalaTrento. The whole team is participating and is ready to prepare the home match on Sunday evening from a technical and tactical point of view. Diatec Trentino- Cucine Lube will be held in the building in via Fersina from 6 p.m. on November Sunday 13th. Main characters of the match are the first two teams in the current ranking of 2016/17 SuperLega UnipolSai, the only ones that are still unbeaten in this championship. “It’s an important challenge that is worth much more than three points or the dominant position in the ranking - explained Filippo Lanza at Trentino Volley Tv -. It will be a test to verify effectiveness of what we have been building since the beginning of this season, at level of game and mentality. The information we’ll collect during this match will be useful in the long term; the first nine league matches proved how our team is trying to find a new way to play volleyball as compared to the past, based on the great work we’re doing with blocks and defence. We’re training hard this two fundamentals both on the field and in the video hall, because they are what can make the difference in the phase of break point”.
“A few months ago it was difficult to believe that at this important event we would have been still unbeaten – added the Captain -, whereas it was easier to believe that Lube would have been one of the protagonists of this important match, because as always its players are very competitive. We’re obviously very happy that everybody is surprised by our performance but we don’t want to settle for it. We will play at our best trying to win again for our supporters. It will also be funny playing against the coach of the Italian national team Blengini who is also Civitanova's coach. With the national team we shared beautiful moments and I perfectly know how well he prepares those matches; another reason for doing well. I am really happy for how we are living this period: Diatec Trentino is a real team, where everyone works to help the others and I am sure that also our supporters at the starting whistle will feel part of the team, giving us a warm welcome.
