Here is the first interview with Uros Kovacevic as a new Trentino Volley player.
Uros, you have recently had many offers: why did you choose Trentino Volley?
“I chose Trento because I want to win, and, as the many trophies show, this is the right place to be. I have high hopes for this new experience, and that’s why I signed a three year contract. It’s a big honour for me to be part of this Club and meet again with coach Lorenzetti.
Was coach Lorenzetti a key factor for your decision?
“It’s certainly been important because he’s a great person I know very well and we had a great relationship during the two years in Modena. I am sure we will form a great group together and a very strong team. When I say I want to win with Trento it’s because I think we can really do it: we have everything it takes”.
Did someone recommend you to come to Trento?
“During the last season in Verona I’ve become a great friend with Mitar Djuric; when I decided to accept this offer I got in touch with him and he only told me positive things about the Club. He confirmed what I had imagined. Trentino Volley has its charm and it’s a huge name in the volley world”.
After many matches as an opponent you’ll finally have PalaTrento on your side…
“I remember well what it’s like to play against Trentino Volley in its home court, a singular feeling. It feels like you can never play at your best because the fans are always cheering hard in a great atmosphere, positive for the home team, terrible for the opponent. I am happy to finally exploit this.”
What do you think about the new team?
“It’s a very talented roster, with young and great player. This year I will have time to get to know my teammates and familiarise myself because I will arrive in Trento at the beginning of September, right after the European Championship. The ideal situation to break the ice with the town, the staff and the fans. GO TRENTINO VOLLEY!”.
