Diatec Trentino ends the run for the Championship in the match 3 at Eurosuole Forum in Civitanova. The team loses 1-3 and let the home team win the Championship. Lube could celebrate this achievement in front of the supporters, winning the series 3-0. It’s the 4th Championship trophy of its history. Angelo Lorenzetti’s team, however, played with dignity and was applauded by more than 4 thousand spectators. Despite the defeat, Lanza and his teammates did their own best, like three days before at PalaTrento, fighting hard for three sets. In the fourth one, then, Lube won.
Except for the last set, Diatec Trentino played with the same spirit, fighting again a team that was incisive. At the end of the match, Jiri Kovar ended up as the mvp (15 points with the 71% at the net and 4 blocks), but also the former Juantorena and Sokolov (43 points in two) played a great performance, also in the other matches. As for Diatec Trentino, Lanza was the best (20 personal points, 5 of them at service and one with a block) and then came Solé (3 blocks) and Urnaut. For the team, the only regret was not winning the first sets in one of the three occasions; the situation could have open other possibilities. Trentino Volley ends the 17th season of his season ranking second and the team played the finals of all the 5 tournaments it’d played in 7 months and a half. They ranked second also in Coppa Italia and Coppa CEV, third in the Club World Cahmpionship and fourth in the Supercoppa Italiana.
