“We did not play very well but tonight the main goal was being efficient and reaching a good result – explained at the end of the match the coach of Trentino Diatec Angelo Lorenzetti - . We achieved the goal we set and we are happy because those matches can be lose if you do not have the ability to control them. VaLePa Sastamala played as we expected, with good figures in the sideout phase and a lot of competitive spirit. We were able to win the match working well with the block and the defence, keeping the concentration at the end of the first and second set; on the 2-0 it was easier for us. It was also useful that Nelli and Daniele Mazzone played because they need the feeling of the match; they start slowly but then they were important to get the 3-0 victory”.
Diatec Trentino will come back to Trento on Friday evening and will have only one day to prepare next match, that will be played again away on Sunday 5th February. For the 21° week of SuperLega, the yellow-blue will play at PalaYamamay in Busto Arsizio against Revivre Milano. The return match of the round of sixteen of 2017 CEV Cup will be played on Wednesday 15th at PalaTrento starting from 8.30 p.m. (match included in the seasonal ticket).
