For the second season in a row, PalaTrento will host a championship match of SuperLega Unipolsai on Boxing Day. On December 26th in the stadium of via Fersina Diatec Trentino will in fact face Gi Group Monza for the match of the thirteenth turn of regular season (the last one of the going round), with the kick-off scheduled for 6.15 p.m.
Playing on the day after Christmas has became over the years a pleasant habit for the Club of via Trener, which in seventeen previous seasons of activity entered the field on Boxing Day eight times; the victory came for the yellow-blues six times: 3-1 versus Verona in 2005, 3-0 versus Treviso in 2010, 3-1 versus Belluno in 2011, 3-1 versus Perugia in 2012, 3-0 versus Monza in 2014 and the most recent 3-1 versus Padova in 2016. The two only defeats came in away matches: 1-3 versus Modena in 2006 and versus Treviso in 2007.
PalaTrento will then host again a match on Boxing Day after twelve months from the last time, with its four previous victories that offered a splendid public: more than 4.000 presences versus Verona (2005) and Treviso (2010), 3.700 versus Perugia (2012) and 3.991 versus Padova (2016).
In this occasion Trentino Volley will play the 733rd official match in its history and will aim for the 307th victory in regular season, the 509th of its history, trying to keep on with the good balance sheet versus Vero Volley Monza, which never obtained a single victory in nine matches at PalaTrento and won only three sets in six matches.
