Trentino Volley is ready to... travel!

The training of today’s late afternoon at PalaTrento, which has consisted in weights and technique, has let the Diatec Trentino to train again after returning from Bari and, this training will be the only session before a new match away. On Tuesday morning the team will fly to Turkey, where Thursday February 1st at 17.00 (Italian time) will face the fourth round of Pool E 2018 CEV Champions League on the field of Arkas Izmir.
The yellow-blue team will arrive at his destination on the evening of January 30th after two flights (Bergamo-Istanbul and Istanbul-Izmir). The first contact with Atatürk Sports Hall, the place where the match will be played on Thursday afternoon (live Fox Sports, Radio Dolomiti and Laola1.tv), will take place on Wednesday at 16.00 (Italian time), when Lanza and his teammates will support a training session lasting about an hour and a half, useful to familiarize theirselves with a structure that can hold over 4,000 spectators.
It’s the fourth time the yellow-blue team have been playing In Turkey (the last one on March 1st 2017 in Istanbul for the CEV Cup semi-final versus Fenerbahce), the second in Izmir where Trentino Volley already played on November 6th 2013 (victory for 3-0 in the match valid for the first phase of CEV Champions League). The first absolute one is actually referred to December 15th, 2004, when the then Itas Diatec Trentino played in Ankara the return of the second round of the CEV Cup, leaving defeated for 1-3 and then eliminated from the competition. For such an important match, Angelo Lorenzetti will bring with him his whole squad of thirteen players; also the libero De Pandis, currently still in the box, will leave with the rest of the team to continue the differentiated work together with the technical and medical staff.
