Young, Italian and perspective. Perfectly respecting the characteristics required by the Company for this role, will be the twenty-four Alessandro Blasi to complete, along with Simone Giannelli, the setters pair of the 2016/17 Trentino Volley’ squad.
The original director from Trieste and the Club of Via Trener have indeed reached an agreement on an annual basis to enable Angelo Lorenzetti to have behind the holder an interesting setter, promising but already with a valuable experience. Just as the new coach has personally endorsed his salary, which will allow Diatec Trentino to have an Italian player on the roster more than last season, when this role was covered by the Bulgarian Georgi Bratoev.
Blasi, 191 cm to 86 kilos, has recently trod the Mondoflex of Super League with the jersey of Verona between 2013 and 2015, and in his career can boast important experience as well in Serie A2 (with the jersey of Milano and Brolo) and in Serie B1. Just from the third national category, which last year came close to promotion with the shirt of Bergamo, Trentino Volley has taken him with the aim of turning him quickly into a worthy alternative. He will wear the jersey number 6, which in the past has been worn by setters like Meoni, Zygadlo and Bratoev, which will go for his first title of his career.
"Despite his young age, Blasi is an athlete who has already trod frequently the Mondoflex of Super League and therefore he is used to play at a high level, which is why it was right in our case” - has thus presented the coach of Trentino Volley Angelo Lorenzetti -”In the two seasons lived in Verona between 2013 and 2015 he was effective and ready whenever he was called into question; he will do the same in Trento, lying behind a complete setter as Giannelli. It is not an easy role, but he has all the qualities to do it."
