On Wednesday October 18th and Thursday 19th, the 40th edition of Del Monte Coppa Italia quarter finals will take place with Diatec Trentino playing against GI Group Monza in PalaTrento in a crucial match. The winner will access the Final Four, on January 27-28 2018. The match begins at 8:30 pm: live commentary on Radio Dolomiti and live streaming on Lega Volley Channel at www.elevensports.it/superlega.
HERE DIATEC TRENTINO After the negative result of Sunday night, Diatec Trentino has another chance on the home court to break the 500 victories in its history. Winning will also mean earning the important pass for the Final Four, one of the three goals of the season 2017-2018.

Monza has improved since last season and thanks to the players has now a very high level and pace. I think it will be a tough match, if we want to win we must take every chance we have, contrary to match on Sunday. “
Diatec Trentino can count on the full team, with Uros Kovacevic regularly available after having rested on Sunday; the team will train tonight and Wednesday morning. Filippo Lanza is the most present player in Coppa Italia with the 7th, while Luca Vettori won the trophy three times. Five first timers: Cavuto, Eder, Kozamernik, Hoag and Teppan.
HISTORY OF TRENTINO VOLLEY IN COPPA ITALIA Trentino Volley is at the 16th participation in the Coppa Italia quarter finals of its history; ten times the team made it to the Final Four: 2001/2002 (3-2 win on Montichiari), 2005/2006 defeating Macerata 3-1, 2009/2010 3-0 on Perugia in PalaTrento, 2010/2011 defeating Monza 3-0, 2011/2012 3-0 against Vibo Valentia, 2012/2013 defeating Perugia 3-1, 2013/2014 against Modena 3-1, 2014/15 3-2 win on Piacenza, 2015/16 double win on Molfetta (3-0, 2-3), 3-0 win on Monza last season. Three victories of the trophy: in 2010 defeating Cuneo 3-1 during the final, in 2012 3-2 against Lube in Roma and on December 2012 defeating once again Lube in Forum in Assago. Seven finals played, with four defeats (Cuneo 2010/11, Modena 2014/15 and 2015/16, Civitanova 2016/17). In the other editions the team was eliminated during the quarter finals.
THE OPPONENT Gi Group Monza arrives to PalaTrento with the goal of winning their first match ever against Trentino (9 wins for Diatec so far) and to reach the Final Four for the first time. The 3-0 win on Latina during the eighth finals and the win on Sora last Sunday in SuperLega UnipolSai helped the spirit of the team and prove that Falasca is working on the right direction; the two attacker from Czech Republic Finger and Dzavoranok are the best scorers and built a good harmony with setter Shoij. The only unavailable player will be Barone, forcing the coach to line up Buti and Beretta as middle-blockers.
THE REFEREES The couple composed by Omero Satanassi (first referee of Porto Fuori - Ravenna) and Massimo Florian (second referee of Treviso) will referee the match. These two, respectively in charge since 1996 and 2007 (Satanassi is an international referee since 2005), are at their first joint seasonal job, it’s a funny thing that the referee from Emilia Romagna refereed the same contest in the same phase of completion 2017 edition, last January 11th. Florian instead didn’t have any relations with Trentino Volley for eleven months (the last previous one took place November 17th, defeat in Piacenza for 1-3)
RADIO, TV AND INTERNET The match will be fully broadcast in real time by Radio Dolomiti, network partner of Trentino Volley, Stefano Piffer and Andrea Cobbe will comment on it.
The links with PalaTrento will be made in “Campioni di Sport”, the sport dispenser of Missioni Africane street. The radio frequencies are available on the homepage of www.trentinovolley.it , while on the website www.radiodolomiti.com it will be possible to hear the running commentary in live streaming. Another live streaming will be be also on “Lega Volley Channel”, on www.elevensports.it/superlega (pay-service).
The match will be replayed again on tv Thursday October 19th at 22:15 on RTTR, partner tv of the Society of Trener Street, shortly after the “RTTR Volley” magazine and replayed again the same day at midnight.

For those who don’t have it, the tickets pre-sale is active up to Wednesday at 16:00 at the offices of Trentino Volley (Trener Street 2 in Trento) and Promoevent (Suffragio Street 10 in Trento) and at any time online www.vivaticket.it/ita/event/coppa-italia-quarti-di-finale/104454. The vouchers will be available also on Wednesday at the cash desks of PalaTrento, which will be activated from 19:30, time in which the gates will be opened as well. The cash desks will be available until the end of the second set, after which it won’t be possible to enter the PalaTrento to see the rest of the match.
