Diatec Trentino continues the Club World Championship 2016 with victories. After the 3-0 against the home team Minas Tenis Clube, Angelo Lorenzetti’s team won 3-1 against Brean Bolivar.
The final score lets the Europe vice-champions to near the qualification for the semi-final scheduled on Saturday evening; Lanza and his team mates only need to win two sets against UPCN during the last match of the first phase (scheduled on the night between Friday and Saturday) in order to mathematically be sure to become, again, one of the best first four teams in the world, as first classified in its round.
As during the debut against Minas, Trento ruled the game, thanks to a better service and attack; the break in the second set’s final costed a set (lost after leading the set for long), but the reaction in the third and in the fourth sets proved how Lanza and the team deserved the 3-points-victory. Stokr was the team’s puller, realizing 20 points with 68% at the net, two aces and a block, backed up by Solé (11 with 4 blocks and 60%) and Lanza (14 with 54%). Also Giannelli and Colaci played a good game, Colaci was able to direct the second line; line that, by defending, took away securities to the opposite hitter Edgar.
Here is the table of the second match of Pool B played this evening at Ginasio Poliesportivo Divino Braga in Betim.
