On Friday September 23rd, Simon Van de Voorde will begin the second and last weekend of matches in the second round of qualifications to the European Championship 2017. After the three victories in the previous weekend in Greece, the middle blocker of Trentino Volley – the only player of the new team still not available for Lorenzetti – will seek another success with Belgium to reach the continental review scheduled in twelve months in Poland. To reach this goal, the Red Dragons will have to keep the first place in the Pool C, already conquered last Sunday in Kozani and they will be able to count on the court since the matches will be played in Merksem (Belgium). Van de Voorde and his team-mates will play on Friday 23rd at 8 p.m. against Ukraine (overcame in the tie break the previous week) then on Saturday at 5.30 p.m. against Greece and in the end on Sunday at 3 p.m. against Moldova. The second ranked in the bracket will have another chance to qualify to the European championship, facing between October 1st and 9th another second ranked team; the winner of the double match will fly to Poland.
