The second weekend of the Intercontinental Round of World League 2017 ends with four victories out of five matches played by the five players of Trentino Volley. The balance sheet has been affected most of all by the three KO that Italy in Pau, France ; without Lanza who can't give his contribution due to a muscular problem since Thursday, the Italian team suffered and didn't managed to impose their rhythm losing for 0-3 against USA, 1-3 against the home team and at the tie break against Russia. Giannelli and Antonov played the whole weekend as official players while Vettori has alternate often with Sabbi.
This three defeats could disrupt the Italian pathway to the Final Six of Curitiba, where there will be without doubt Brazil of the new Yellow-blue middle blocker Eder. The green and gold have legitimize their presence winning against Canada and Poland in Varna and losing this evening only against Bulgaria; however, Eder has played less, entering the court for small periods during three matches.
Slovenia of Kozamernik won twice and lost once in Takasaki (Japan), during the second slot of  the tourney has conquered the success against Korea and Turkey , losing instead at the tie break with the home team. Jan has played two out of three matches as official player and as protagonist at block and attack.
During next weekend, the last one of the first phase,  Italy will play in Belgium, facing the home team, France and Canada, while Brazil will play in Cordoba (Argentina) against the home team,  Bulgaria and Serbia. In the second  slot of the tourney  Slovenia will get on court in  Cairo (Egypt) against the Africans, Portugal and Finland.
