The seventh seasonal appointment of “Trentino Volley in FM – dj per un giorno”, the weekly transmission dedicated to Trentino Volley by the media-partner Radio Dolomiti, has seen Matteo Burgsthaler interviewed. During the twenty minutes of live recording together with presenters Gabriele Biancardi and Laura Paolazzi, the native middle blocker of Diatec Trentino has chosen the song he loves more in this period (“Dinosauro” by Litfiba) and has revealed his passions for cooking and music but he has also spoken of more intense subjects.
“I'm thirty-five years old and it is normal to think about the future or when to stop playing. – told Burgsthaler – I think that during the last year of one's career it is important to prepare yourself to leave the field and the habits of a player behind because otherwise the change could be really traumatic. I fortunately took care of other interests in addition to volleyball and so, when the time to retire will come, I will try to be ready”.
“The road taken by our team in the first part of the season is the right one – added Burghy -; being able to be consistently among the top four of the league is very important. On Sunday in Molfetta we will be given the opportunity to try to improve or to confirm our position in the ranking; beyond the record it is really important to being able to close the round with a win because it would obviously provide us additional positive energy.”
