Trento, February 24th, 2016
After the great performances shown with Molfetta and Latina, Diatec Trentino continues its run in Super League UnipolSai trimming a 3-1 to Revivre Milano a 3-1, penultimate in the standings, sharper than the final score. The success tonight at PalaTrento in the third last round of the regular season, allows the Italian champions to secure at least the third place in the standings and holds an opened window for the second, still in the hands of Modena (winning for 3-2 in Perugia), but now with only two points more.
In the next two days Giannelli and teammates will try to further improve their ranking but in the meantime they are already sure to have their feet on the step of the podium, an important result also in view of the upcoming Playoff Championship and the presence in the European competition during the upcoming sports year.
First set aside, lost by the hosts sided with a decidedly experimental training, the task completed this evening by Italian champions was pretty simple. The block of the Italian champions has done it once again its part in a wonderful way (19 direct points, four each for Solé and Van de Voorde), quickly removing the securities acquired by Revivre after a partial opening played in high level. Giannelli positioned in the control room (started on the bench for Bratoev) and Nelli in the role of the opposite, for the locals the race towards the 3-1 was then pretty fast, as well explain by the partial: thanks also to the good percentage of all the net attacks, in which precisely the Tuscan opposite (13 points with 57%) and Urnaut (best scorer of his with 17 points and 50%) have shown to have an enviable shape condition.
