Three Italian champions plus the entire coaching staff are back at work at PalaTrento to prepare the 2015/16 season that will see Trentino Volley defend the title won on May 13th in Modena and return to the assault of the most prestigious European event for Club, the CEV Champions League.
Today afternoon the only three players to attend the meeting of Diatec Trentino were the opposite Mitar Djuric and the new entries Carlo De Angelis (libero who won many championships at youth level and who was promoted from the nursery) and Daniele Mazzone; all the other ten members of the squad are in fact still engaged in various parts of the world with their respective national teams.
A very unique situation, which shows how the roster set by the trentino leadership has an high international value. To start working on team play we still have to wait a lot but starting from next week the group can count on the arrival of Gabriele Nelli, returning from the experience in Dubai with the T-shirt of Italy Under-23, which ended today.
For this reason the calendar of friendly matches is still without appointments and probably it will be like that at least until mid-October. The technical and medical staff who will work with Stoytchev can count on one important new feature: in addition to the confirmed Riccardo Michieletto, Team Manager in his tenth season between field and desk in Trentino Volley, Dario Simoni (Assistant Coach) and Martin Poeder (trainer), has been added the new scoutman Ivan Contrario.
During the first week of preparation, which has already began this morning with the physical tests in the weight room, the Yellow-blues will held two sessions (morning weights, afternoon technique with ball) similar to the one of today even on Tuesday and on Friday. On Wednesday has been scheduled a morning session at the pool Trento Nord of Gardolo while on Thursday and on Saturday the group will be on stage on the baseball field adjacent to PalaTrento to support an important part of athletic training.
