21 consecutive wins in PalaTrento: best positive series ever for Trentino Volley

The 3-1 win on Sir Safety Conad Perugia on Sunday night allowed Diatec Trentino to retake the lead in the 2017 Play Off Scudetto UnipolSai semifinal series, but also to remain unbeaten in PalaTrento. It’s been eleven months and a half (last home defeat was on 25th April 2016, semifinal against Modena) since the team last lost in PalaTrento, a positive series that makes it twenty one winning matches in PalaTrento without surrendering to the opponent; in almost twenty years of history, it is the longest period. The previous record was during 2014/2015 season (with the fourth national title) but lasted only eighteen matches; never before had Trentino Volley kept a clean sheet during the whole season in PalaTrento, something that could occur during this season, if the team keeps winning.
During this positive series, it is important to underline the fact that opponents won only ten sets, with twelve 3-0 wins and only one at tie-break. For a whole month, Yellow-blues supporters celebrate only 3-0 wins (5 total, between January 8th and February 8th).
