Trento, 17th December 2016

Pre-Christmas weekend of complete rest for Diatec Trentino. The victory for 3-1 on Friday evening at PalaTrento against Biosì Indexa Sora in the early match of the fifteenth round of regular season SuperLega has allowed the technical staff to give the team two and a half days off in the program of the end of the year 2016.
On Monday 19th December the team will resume training with a mixed session of weights and technique in view of the match of the boxing day (always at PalaTrento, this time against Padua). The victory against the team from Lazio has allowed the Yellow-blues to achieve a double objective: they could redeem themselves after the defeat against Vibo Valentia on December 11th, and they could get three points in one match, what they haven’t achieved since November 20th against Civitanova. “The four previous matches before Friday have been very hard, but also very useful because we have always played five sets and this has given us a lot of information about our way of playing – explained the best scorer of the night Gabriele Nelli at Radio Dolomiti after the end of the match -. We learned from everything we did during this last month in order to win against Sora. We got back to winning; we still have to work hard in order to grow but I think that this result was very important. In the second set for example we showed that we have some problems to reach the level of the opponents when they have a better start than we do. Sometimes we are like a “diesel engine”, while on other occasions we manage to work very well, as seen in the other three sets”.
“Playing against Sora brings good luck to me –
added smiling the Tuscan opposite, who in the match of the first half of the season had a great performance -. Also in this case I’ve been able to score a lot and this has boosted my confidence. Now I need to continue along this path in order to be ready together with my team-mates both for the matches of SuperLega and for those of Coppa CEV and Coppa Italia, which will be part of our schedule starting from January”.
