The opening match on Saturday, April 9th at PalaPanini will be the ninth semi-final of the championship playoffs in fourteen participation in the history of Trentino Volley, the eighth in the last nine years. This level of challenge with Modena will be a remake of the confrontation of the 2011 edition (the Club of Via Trener won in five races, 3-2); in the other seven semi-finals there was room for two duels with Cuneo and one with Treviso, Rome, Macerata, Latina and Perugia.
For seven times the Company of via Trener passed the turn, reaching the final: the only previous defeat is related to the first semi-final of all time, the one in 2005/06 season played against Sisley Treviso (defeated in four games, 1-3); then the Yellow-blues have always prevailed. In each of the eight previous series, Trentino Volley won at least one game.
Trento in playoffs has so far played a total of 89 matches, achieving success in 57 cases (of which 20 away) and then losing in 32 (22 of which far by PalaTrento). The player who has scored the highest number of races at this stage with the yellow-blue jersey is Emanuele Birarelli, who last season reached 60 appearances (21 of these are related to Championship semifinal races).
