Blasi sets for Burgsthaler during a training session at PalaTrento

The sixth week of preparation pre-championship of Diatec Trentino has started at PalaTrento this afternoon, with a training including ball technique in the main court and strengthening exercises in the weights room.
The second-to-last period before the first official game (the semi-final of the Del Monte SuperCup will take place on Saturday 24th September in Modena) will include seven gym sessions and three test matches: the first at PalaTrento on Wednesday against Piacenza, with which Diatec Trentino already played seven days ago in Emilia, the second and the third in quick succession in the weekend in Villafranca for the trophy of the same name, that will inaugurate the Palasport of the town near Verona. The semi-final will be played on Saturday against Calzedonia at 8 pm, while on Sunday – according to the result of the previous day – Diatec Trentino will play against Modena or still against Piacenza for the bronze medal match (at 3:30 pm) or the gold medal one (at 6 pm). Angelo Lorenzetti and his staff will have thirteen players at their disposal; the Belgian Simon Van de Voorde will be the only one missing, because he will be busy with his national team in the qualifications for Euro 2017 from Friday 16th September.
