The preparation for the preseason of Diatec Trentino continues without troubles also during this fourth week of training. The six players already available for the technical staff worked harder and harder between the weight-room and technical training sessions on the central field.
“Being finally part of the main team, after having played with the Youth Team and two seasons in Serie A2, it’s a great thrill for me – told to Trentino Volley Tv the spiker Oreste Cavuto - . I’m particularly proud of having the chance to train with a very prepared coach like Lorenzetti and with his whole staff; we’re training very hard to reach our goal which certainly consist in getting ready for the match of Supercoppa on October 7th/8th in Civitanova Marche.In the next days, I should even put greater efforts in my preparation but there aren’t other ways to get in shape as the players who played the European Cup already are. During this period Angelo is following me with care, also from a technical point of view, to make me improve both in the run-up for the service and in the control of the strike in reception. He wants me to quickly become an alternative as an opposite, to put me on the field without any problem and give me an opportunity if so needed. This is also why he decided to use me as a reference point during the first part of preparation, which is a role that make me feel positively responsible”.
“Compared to Serie A2, the pace in Superlega is definitely faster – underlined Cavuto - ; I notice this during training but I can sense it by simply working on reception, a fundamental that I have to get used to very soon because I need to stand versus very strong strikes. I’m sure that thanks to the constant work in the gym I will quickly get used to this kind of level and I’ll become what Lorenzetti wants me to become for my team”.
Starting from Thursday, Diatec Trentino will be able to count also on Teppan, the first available one among the returnees of the European Cup 2017. The Estonian opposite will take part to the practice session on Friday night at PalaOlimpia in Verona with Calzedonia, which will end its fourth week of activity.
