Trentino Volley this morning has finished the second week of 2016/17 preparation. After sustained at the pool of Trento North in Gardolo about ninety minutes of exercises in the water, the eight players currently available now can enjoy a day and a half of rest before resuming workouts on Monday morning.
Angelo Lorenzetti does the summary of the first thirteen days of activities: “The great attention and concentration of the players has been a constant since the beginning, and this can only make me happy” - explained the new coach of Diatec Trentino -”.Workloads have increased significantly this week and in the last few days were felt all right; we must continue on this path, according to the same time attentive to all signals that the players’ muscles are offering. At a time when we can boast a higher physical condition, we'll train even better and exploit the characteristics of this team to improve. I have access to a very compact group, these first thirteen days of preparation have already proved it. During the last three workouts we have started to offer the athletes exercises that included jumps, but without force or ask the highest intensity; in the next week instead our demands will also grow from this point of views."
"Rio 2016 brought many beautiful games, with a very high level of game: I would say that it's almost a shame that on Sunday will finish” - added Lorenzetti shifting the discourse on the Olympic tournament -”.Even before speaking of the Blues, I would like to congratulate Solé for how he and his Argentina have played this event. The quarter-final with Brazil was of extraordinary intensity, almost touching, and I am particularly pleased by this because it means that Sebastian will arrive in Trento with a lot more experience on him, to share with the team. Antonov, Colaci, Giannelli, Lanza and I can only say that volleyball in this province and Trentino Volley in particular should be proud of what they are doing. It is rare to see so many athletes from one Club as players in a national team; this is an honor but also a credit to those who brought them to this level."
