Diatec Trentino is since this morning at PalaTrento once again to start the fifth training week of 2017/18. After a whole weekend off and after a positive joint training with Calzedonia in Verona on Friday night, the Yellow-blues have started to work out again for a period that is going to be more focused on the game and characterised by an additional training session (nine instead of eight).
The training schedule of the team includes a double session just as the one performed today (physical strengthening in the morning and technique in the late afternoon) on Wednesday and Friday, while on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday they will practice only one training with ball. Uros Kovacevic, another competitor of the Europeans of 2017, is going to join the group in the second half of the week; the arrival of the Serbian spiker in Trento is expected for Wednesday. From this morning, though, the new scout-man Roberto Ciamarra - who has arrived in the weekend with a continental silver medal gained with Germany just eight days ago, in Krakow - is constantly at the disposal of Angelo Lorenzetti.
"The experience I’ve just lived in Poland has been fantastic, I’ve made a thrilling journey with the German National, not relying on the favours of the forecast; it’s for this reason that it’s been even more satisfying to reach it - he explained -. The European has said that volleyball has become a sport in which attack and service make more and more the difference. Who wants to play at an high level has to be competitive, especially in these two fundamentals, and the same can be definitely said for the SuperLeague that will start in mid-October. I’ve closely monitored what the 6 players of Trentino Volley did during the continental tournament; they all have displayed really convincing performances, both Kovacevic and the three Italians. From this day forward, I’ll mainly analyze the data I’ve gathered during the European in order to make them useful for the team and I’ll prepare the match versus Perugia, which will mark the Diatec Trentino debut in the new season.”
With his entrance, the staff is fully assembled and can now work even more intensively in view of the Italian Supercup Final Four 2017, that will take place in Civitanova Marche between 7th and 8th October.
