The press presentation concluded the first day with Trentino Volley for Aidan Zingel in the best possible way. This evening, the new Australian middle-blocker had a meeting with the journalists in the Trophies Room of the seat of the yellow-blue Club, after spending the morning and the afternoon with the managerial staff of Trentino Volley to arrange the last administrative and logistical aspects of this new adventure.
His firsts words immediately reflected his great enthusiasm. “Changing Club, after many years spent in Verona, will be particular for me but I think that it will also be really motivating – explained the Australian middle-blocker - . It was enough to live one day in close contact with the new reality to understand that I will be at ease here. I need to feel at home because I usually spend great part of the year far from my Australia. I came in a very organized and winning Company; I’m ready to offer my contribution to try to achieve great results: I’m looking forward to starting this experience. Trentino Volley represented an indispensable and perhaps unrepeatable opportunity for my career: I will be given the chance to try to win a championship or in the end just to try to go as far as possible in the greatest competitions.   I’m an athlete who relies a lot on his continuity, I do not have many ups and downs; I will make my constancy available already from the first day of training, since I won’t play any match with my National Team for the second summer in a row. I haven’t trained with Lorenzetti yet but I already estimate him a lot both as a man and a coach. We have already talked a bit these days but we will have the chance to know each other even better”.
“We strongly wanted Aidan Zingel in our new group that we’re training because we think that he has all the technical and temperamental skills that we’re looking for –
explained the General Manager Bruno Da Re - . We hope he will also be able to return to his jump-service as he did in last season because this fundamental could just be the cherry on top. His international experience will be very important for our team, Lorenzetti has always liked him a lot. Our biggest hope is that he will be able to stay at high levels in the block phase and maybe even improve in it since we are absolutely sure that he can do it. With him we completed a very competitive and interchangeable roster of middle-blockers".
