Filippo Lanza only came back in Italy on Monday night, after the beautiful experience in Japan with the Italian National team in the Grand Champions Cup. He is now preparing to live a few days of total relax before officially starting the season 2017/2018 with Trentino Volley (his third season as a captain).
On the eve of his departure for a seaside resort, Pippo told Trentino Volley tv: “I'm happy to be in Trento again, I missed this city and this environment where I can really feel home. In a few days I will start my trainings but first I will get away from volleyball till Sunday night; it will be an occasion to free my mind and also to think at the national season we just concluded. The silver medal we won I Japan has been the best moment, for sure, because we showed everyone that we can play well, and it was very important for us to closure in the best way. Beyond the results we achieved, I cherish everything we did and lived because it enriched me a lot”.
“Even tough I was far away, I followed via internet (thanks to the social network in particular), Diatec Trentino's first month of preparation. I'm glad everyone did their best, as the staff told me. As soon as I get back I will be ready to do my part, both as a player and as a captain of the team. I will try to build a relationship with all the new players in order to make them feel comfortable and make them understand what Trentino Volley is. Now I'm really in the mood to know everyone and I have a lot of positive energy. There are all the grounds to live a beautiful and exciting season, as we've seen many times in Trento".
