After a pause long almost a month, the Super League UnipolSai 2015/16  is back on the field for the first round of the New Year: tomorrow evening, on Sunday, January 17th, will be played the thirteenth day of the regular season, the second half of the season. Diatec Trentino will be on stage in Padua for the first trip of 2016: the kick-off is scheduled at 6.00 pm at the Arena Kioene, broadcasted live on Radio Dolomiti and on www.sportube.tv, League Volleyball Channel.
HERE DIATEC TRENTINO Conquered an hard but deserved qualification to the Final Four Del Monte^® Italian Cup 2016, the Italian champions are chasing their first victory of 2016 to confirm at least the third rank in the league and quickly delete the first seasonal home defeat, against Molfetta last Thursday. The match actually opens a delicate six-day for Trentino Volley, that after the away game on Sunday in Veneto will be on stage twice in PalaTrento in as many important matches to keep playing in CEV Champions League (on Tuesday arrives Thessaloniki) and in Super League with the direct clash against Perugia next Saturday.
Radostin Stoytchev, who will be able again to direct the Yellow-blues from the bench after two rounds of the absence due to a suspension, as usual, doesn’t look beyond the appointment of Padua. "It''s an important game for our ranking and for the way ahead in the championship” - said the Bulgarian coach looking for the 300^ victory of his Trentino management out of a total of 361 official matches. -”Tonazzo is a team that has been able to make us suffer a lot also in the first leg match; we have to be better than them and still improve a lot in our game, but at the same time we need to win this match if we want to have justified ambitions of great goals."
Today afternoon the team will finalize the preparation for the match with a technical-tactical session of two hours, which will precede the departure to Padua where Trentino Volley will be present in full force. The right ankle injury remedied in the first set of the match against Molfetta by Sebastian Solé has in fact revealed minor, so much so that the Argentine middle-blocker was able to make his return to the field as early as the third part of the same match. At the Kioene Arena, Trentino Volley will play the 631^ official match in its history (budget of 440 victories, 190 defeats) and tries to find the 214th away victory ever over 341 matches played away from PalaTrento.
PREVIOUSLY Trentino Volley and Volley Padova have a long tradition of official meetings, which began in 2000 and were interrupted only for short periods between 2009 and 2011 and in 2012 and 2013 because of the relegation to Serie A2 of the Venetians. The budget of the previous twenty-three official match (regular season only) is clearly favorable to the Yellow-blues, which came out as winners in nineteen circumstances; the Club of Via Trener boasts among other things a series, still open, of thirteen game winning streak that has lasted for almost exactly eleven. To find the last successful of Padova you must in fact go back to February 13th, 2005, when the Pala San Lazzaro (now Kioene Arena) hosts imposed themselves for 3-2. In the ten previous matches played in Padova, the locals have won only twice more, always at tie-break: on February 16th, 2003 and on February 1st, 2004. The last direct confrontation in Veneto dates back to a year ago: on January 3rd, 2015, 3-0 in the sign of Lanza (16 points with 53%, MVP of the match). In the first leg match, played on November 1st, 2015, Diatec Trentino won in a sets (partial of 25-15, 25-22, 23-25, 25-23) with Solé as a great protagonist  (17 points with 3 blocks and an ace over 81% at the net).
REFEREES The meeting will be headed by Omero Satanassi (from Fuori Porto - Ravenna, in role since 1996 and internationally since 2003) and Umberto Zanussi (from Treviso, in the highest category since 2006). The two whistles are in their first joint direction in Super League season UnipolSai 2015/16, the sixth personal for Satanassi (last previous with Trentino Volley on May 1st, 2015 - victory at tie-break over Perugia in Game 3 of the semi-final league title), the fifth for Zanussi that in his career directed only one other time Trento: on October 24th, 2014, 3-0 victory against Molfetta.
