In the weekend, the seventeenth game of the regular season of the Premier League UnipolSai 2014/15 will be played. The ENERGY T.I. Diatec Trentino will have the leading role in the big match of the day, challenging the Calzedonia Verona right tomorrow, Saturday January 31 at the PalaTrento in the traditional Adige derby. The starting whistle is planned for the 17.30, live tv on RAI sport 1 and running commentary on Radio Dolomiti.
ABOUT ENERGY T.I. DIATEC TRENTINO The Trentino Volley faces the only team that in the home game managed to defeat it and this will happen right immediately after having registered the only k.o. after the 3-0 in the Pala Olimpia. Even more so hence tomorrow the Birarelli and partners will go in the will of offering a performance that will make you forget those two games and lock down even more its own second position in the ranking, set now by two points behind the number one on the list Modena, and with a head start of six points from the closest teams Treia and Verona.

Verona is in fact not only the team that in the home game has beaten us in three sets, but it is also the one that in the last period has managed to mark the greatest growth. It plays a really well organized volleyball and has a staff that is complete in all the roles; tomorrow there is a good occasion to demonstrate that we too, in relation to the previous one, have grown. It will be a very hard job, rich in difficulties”.
The Bulgarian technician will be able to arrange the entire workforce that in the last five days has always trained completely at the PalaTrento. Against Verona, the Trentino Volley will dispute the 588th official game of its history (a balance of 406 victory, 181 defeats), the 374th always in regular season, and will hunt the 207th success at the PalaTrento, where it has not lost in more than nine months and a half (the last k.o. inside it was on April 13th against Latina with a 1-3) having obtained in this season up to here ten victories in as many games played.
THE ENEMIES The Calzedonia Verona follows up for 90 kilometers the A22, at the end of a period of a stimulating form that has brought it right in the last months and a half from the seventh to the third place in ranking, thanks to eight victories our of the nine games played in the regular season. The great most recent victim of the last Saturday is Piacenza, beaten with 3-1 at the PalaOlimpia. The secret of the fast climb in ranking is to be searched in the constant growth in the team play, which can count on a block and a serve among the best of the Premier League (third place in both efficiency rankings) and on the great season of some of the waited individuality. The spots 4 Deroo and Sander are not actually betraying the expectations and appear regularly among the best offensives of the tournament; Gasparini has confirmed himself lethal in the serve (second aceman in the tournament together with Nemec); Anzani and Zingel are two complete middle-blockers that block and fight with quality.
In the away game, however, up to now the Andrea Giani’s team has struggled to express itself at a high level, losing all the direct game: 0-3 to Piacenza, 1-3 to Macerata and Perugia, and 2-3 to Modena. Even for this reason there will be more than two-hundred, a record number, of Venetian fans that will follow the team in one among the logistically more comfortable away games.
THE ANTECEDENT Tomorrow there is the 25th derby of the Adige between the Trentino Volley and Verona. The balance is absolutely favorable to the home players for 18-6, but in the last twelve months the team from Verona has won two out of the three official games played: that of January 8th 2014 at the PalaTrento (won for 3-1 thanks to the Australian Zingel and White), and that one of the first of November 2014 at the PalaOlimpia of Verona in the valid match for the home game of the current Premier League (partial of the 25-14, 25-23, 25-16 with Deroo mvp). In the middle of the two games, there is space for the only Trento recent success, the 3-0 obtained in Verona on March 23rd 2014; out of the twelve games played at the PalaTrento, Verona has won four, i.e., double of how many it has won at home (2). The two formations have disputed in the structure of Via Fersina even the pre-seasonal test match won for 3-0 by the locals (25-16, 25-16, 25-19) on the last October 15th.
THE REFEREES The match will be led by Alessandro Tanasi (first referee from Noto – Syracuse, in the highest category from 2002) and Giorgio Gnani (from Ferrara, in the Series A from 1997 and international from 2009). The two whistles are at the first joint seasonal lead; the sixth for the Sicilian referee that boats one only antecedent with Trento in this regular season (Trento- Milan 3-0 on November 9th), the tenth for Gnani that has already arbitrated the yellow-blue team in occasion of the victorious away game of Perugia (3-2 on October 26th).
TV, RADIO AND INTERNET Trento-Verona will be a global media event.
