The 4th round of SuperLega UnipolSai 2017/18 regular season will be played this weekend. Diatec Trentino will be the the leading team of the unique advance match on Saturday; October 28th will play again at PalaTrento to face BCC Castellana Grotte. The starting whistle is programmed to be at 20:30: live on Radio Dolomiti and live streaming on Lega Volley Channel on www.elevensports.it/superlega.
HERE DIATEC TRENTINO After the setback on Wednesday night with in Ravenna, the yellow-blues want to get back in their race in the championship, in order to not loosing further places in the table, but they will have to do it without Uros Kovaceviv again, who is resting because of a muscle strain at the gluteus.
“When you play every three days, as it’s happening in this period, you have to think about yourself even before the opponent standing behind the net - told Angelo Lorenzetti, coach of Diatec Trentino, presenting the match -. In this moment it’s obvious we can’t be happy of the outcomes of the first days; reality doesn’t reflect our expectations. We are working with humbleness, devotion and attention in order to reach high levels. We’ll play versus Castellana Grotte on Saturday night, which has a good rhythm during the side-out thanks to the good reception and to good spikers who touch the ball at great heights, giving good guarantees to their setter”.
The coach of Diatec Trentino will put Nicholas Hoag as spiker with Lanza, and Oreste Cavuto as turnover of the spikers. On Saturday night Trentino Volley will dispute the 722nd match of its history (501 victories and 220 defeat), the 7th of the ongoing season, and it will try to achieve the 17th home victory of 2017.
THE OPPPONENTS This is the third season of championship for the BCC Castellana Grotte, which has achieved the right to play in the SuperLega again (already Series A1, as it was already happened in season 2010/11 and 2012/13) thanks to the suffered but well-deserved victory in the Play Off finals of Series A2 2017 versus Spoleto (15-13 inter tie break, 5th match). The society has confirmed 7 players, including Cavaccini (libero), Moreira and Canuto (spikers) which are the elements of continuity in a team which counts also on the setter ex Perugia Paris, on the Greek opposte Tzioumakas and on the ex captain of Milano De Togni, who is the mid-blocker with Athos Ferreira Costa (ex Olympiacos).
After loosing at PalaPanini with Modena, the team trained by Pino Lorizio has shown all its competitiveness winning at home for 3-1 versus Latina, match in with the protagonist were Tziuomakas (20 points) and Canuto (14) and, in general, the wall of Apulia (10 walls). During this week the BCC didn’t play the match of the third turn versus Verona, postponed until December 13rd because of the unavailability of PalaFlorio in Bari (facility in which the home matches will be played)
HISTORY After 4 season off, the match between Trentino Volley and Castellana Grotta will be played in the highest Italian Championship. It was February 17th 2017 (3-0 for the yellow-blues), since the teams haven’t seen each other behind the net, (it happened only 4 times in the past). The percentages are on favor of Diatec Trentino, which lost only one set versus the opponents (the one of the victory 3-1 in Puglia of January 16th 2011), also winning for 3-0 on October 24th 2010 (at PalaTrento) and on November 25th 2012 at Palagrotte.
THE REFEREES The match will be refereed by the Emilians Gianfranco Piperata (from Bologna since 2012) and Giorgio Gnani (from Ferrara, in A Series since 1997 and international since 2009). This is the first joint match in SuperLega UnipolSai 2017/18 for the two referees, the first debut for Piperata (the only approach with Trento has been just one year ago in the victory versus Latina in three sets at PalaTrento) and the second one for Gnani, which comes back to Palatrento after refereeing the first match of semifinals versus Perugia on March 19th (3-1 for the yellow-blues).
RADIO, TV AND INTERNET The match will be broadcast in live by Radio Dolomiti, partner network of Trentino Volley, Stefano Piffer and Andrea Cobbe will be in charge of the commentary. The links with PalaTrento will be done by “Campioni di Sport”, the sport container of Missioni Africane street. The regional network’s frequencies can be found at www.trentinovolley.it, while the live streaming radio commentary will be on www.radiodolomiti.com.
The video live streaming will be available on “Lega Volley Channel” at www.elevensports.it/superlega; pay-service.
The full match will be broadcasted October Monday 30th at 21.50 on RTTR, partner tv of the Society of Trener street, just after the magazine “RTTR Volley” and broadcasted again at midnight of the same day.

TICKETS AND MERCHANDISING The tickets presale for the match versus Castellana Grotte are active until Saturday night 19.00 at Promoevent offices (Suffragio street 10, Trento), and anytime online at www.vivaticket.it/ita/event/diatec-trentino-vs-castellana-grotte/105157.
The tickets are also available at PalaTrento box offices, from 19.30, same time of the gates opening. The box offices will stay open until the end of the second set, moment from which the access to Palatrento will no longer be possible.
