The 20th turn of SuperLega Unipol Sai UnipolSai 2016/2017 (the seventh of the second half of the season) will be played between today, tomorrow and Sunday. Diatec Trentino will play the second anticipation (the first tonight between Monza and Padova); on Saturday 21st it will play again at PalaTrento confronting Bunge Ravenna. The match starts at 8.30 p.m : live on Radio Dolomiti and live streaming on Leva Volley Channel on www.sportube.tv.
HERE DIATEC TRENTINO After the 3-0 victory (on Wednesday night) against the Finnish Loimaa, the yellow-blue team wants to continue the race in the championship, this turn Modena will play against Perugia, teams that respectively come first and follow Lanza and his teammates in the ranking.
“After last Sunday’s defeat in Umbria, we need to do something for our position in the ranking. We have to be cautious with the match against Ravenna – explained Diatec Trentino’s coach Angelo Lorenzetti talking about the match - . During this championship, Bunge proved to know how to cause difficulties to high-level teams and it needs point in order to get the access to the playoff. It won’t be an easy match; we don’t have to be surprised by their rapid game, replying with the right spirit”.
For this match, Diatec Trentino’s coach has only to verify Sebastian Solè’s conditions (absent on Wednesday in CEV Cup due to an influenza); the other members are all at disposal. On Saturday night Trentino Volley will play the 689th official match of its history (balance: 481 victories and 207 defeats), the 30th of this season; PalaTrento has been unbeatable for 9 months: the last KO was on April 25th (1-3 against Modena in the 4th match of semifinals).
RIVALS Bunge Ravenna comes to PalaTrento in search of points and trying to reach the 8th place in the ranking, in order to get the access to the playoff. With only six matches to play before the end of the regular season, the team from Romagna have four points less than Vibo Valentia and the players will have to do their own best to be prepared for the home match against Vibo (penultimate turn). In the second half of the season, Bunge Ravenna won only two matches out of six, one of them particularly significant 3-1 at PalaPanini on December 26th. After that exploit they lost all matches, the last one in the direct match (a week ago) at Pala De andrè against Molfetta. Fabio Soli’s team will count on the opposite hitter Torres, who made 358 points in 19 matches (third bomber of the championship). The other points of reference are the French Lyneel, that in the first season in the SuperLega showed he’s a great player and, the block, that is the best one of the championship (185 direct points). Among the best interpreters, there are the central hitter Ricci (best blocker with 47 blocks) and the setter Spirito (30 ones).
PRECEDENTS Tomorrow’s one will be the 18th ever match between the two teams, that started confronting each other with continuity in the season 2011/12. The balance is favorable for the yellow-blue team (10-1), but the most recent match played at PalaTrento was won by Ravenna: February 3rd 2016, they won at the tiebreak thanks to Torres (25 points with 59% at net). Before that day, the club from Romagna hadn’t been able to win a set against Trentino Volley; in the match in the first half of the season (November 1st) the yellow-blue team won in four sets (25-23, 32-30, 28-30, 25-21) with Giannelli as mvp and the two opposite hitters as best scorers: Torres 22 points and Nelli 19 ones. Trentino Volley has origins from Ravenna: in May 2000 the resident Diego Mosna bought the rights of Serie A1 from Valleverde Porto, already winner of one championship and three Coppe Campioni in the Nineties.
THE REFEREES The match will be led by Marco Braico (in the highest category since 2003) and Giuliano Venturi (in Serie A since 2007) from Turin. The two referees are at their first joined match in SuperLega UnipolSai 2016/17, the eight personal match for Braico (who has already led Padova-Trento 2-3 on October 14th 14 and Trento-Monza 3-2 on November 27th) and the second one by far for Venturi, who has never arbitrated Trentino Volley.
RADIO, TV AND INTERNET The match will be shown in full and direct live coverageon Radio Dolomiti, network partner of Trentino Volley. The connections with PalaTrento will be made inside “Campioni di Sport”, the sport section of the broadcaster in via Missioni Africane. You can search the frequencies to listen to the regional network on the home page www.trentinovolley.it, while on the website www.radiodolomiti.com you can listen in live streaming to the radio coverage.
The direct video streaming is also planned on the web section “Lega Volley Channel”, at the web site www.sportube.tv/volley (the service is pay-per-view). In TV the full deferred of the match will go live on Monday January 23rd at 9.30 p.m. on RTTR, TV partner of the Club in via Trener.

The tickets will be available also on Sunday at the cash-desk at PalaTrento, that will be open from 7 p.m., at the same time the doors of the establishment will be open. The cash-desks will remain open until the end of the second set, when it won’t be possible any more enter PalaTrento to see the match.
