After the League Round and the Playoffs 12, the highest club competition continues with the latest double act before the Final Four of Krakow (on April 16th-17th). HERE TRENTINO DIATEC Two years after the last time, the Champions of Italy return to play the Playoffs 6, tournament which has been won for three consecutive seasons between 2009 and 2011, by challenging one of the most credited team for the victory. To get the qualification to the Polish Final Four, the team has to make truly a great effort, which will begin with tomorrow night's match at PalaTrento and then completed in the second leg on Tuesday, March 22nd in Russia, collecting more points than the opponents. Each of the two comparisons in fact is giving three points as it happens in a league game; those who win the highest number will access the semifinals; golden set in case of a tie. To make the goal much more problematic, however, there are problems in training: among the most important, the physical ones accused this last period by Djuric, Lanza (who in recent days have returned to work out with the group even without forcing him) and those regulations that prevent Kaziyski to play. In fact the Bulgarian spiker won’t be allowed to dispute the double shift against Belgorod because he has been rationed when the lists for the CEV Champions League had already been closed for some time. Matey then will look at the last European home game of Trentino Volley from the sideline, hoping to celebrate a success that redemptions Molfetta Sunday's defeat in Game 2 of the quarterfinals (1-1 series). In his place on the field the Italian-Russian Antonov, who will compose together with Urnaut and Nelli the high ball trio.
"It's always hard to prepare for the match against an opponent like Belgorod because its squad offers many alternatives and solutions that inevitably we must consider” - presented the match Radostin Stoytchev. -”Besides, we arrive at this challenge with so many problems that we were not allowed to train well in the last stage. To overcome this obstacle, we will have to do something that goes beyond the simple volleyball but I guarantee that we will try as always till the end. We can do it if we give 120% of ourselves, we have to build this venture especially with our strength of will”.
THE FORMULA AND OTHER GAMES Tomorrow's match is valid as a first leg match of the Playoffs 6 of 2016 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League; in the third stage of the tournament, the best six European teams will in fact compete in a double confrontation, from which will arise three teams that will participate in the Final Four in Krakow (Poland) on April 16th and 17th, in the presence of the organizer, the Asseco Resovia. Teams that will win both games will pass the turn; only if the two teams have both won a race each at the tie-break, or if they have both won one game each at most in four sets, it will be played the Golden sets to 15 at the end of the second race. These are the other two challenges scheduled. Tonight, 5.30 pm: Zenit Kazan vs. PGE Skra Belchatow.
Tomorrow, at 8.30 pm: Cucine Lube Civitanova vs. Halkbank Ankara.
