Under the Christmas tree Diatec Trentino finds three points and the second place in the ranking, thanks to a great performance, that confirms the progresses also seen in the last match and thanks to the home defeat against Ravenna. After a hard first set, where nothing went well, Angelo Lorenzetti’s team made its best; Kioene Padova lost 3-1. This was the eighth victory in eight home matches during this season, with 23 points gained out of 24. The brilliant performance in front of the large number of spectators (almost 4.000 yesterday) saw a great diagonal setter-opposite hitter Giannelli and Stokr, authors of 34 points: Simone directed the team (61% at the net), with some personal solutions (4 blocks, 2 aces and 80% in attack). The Czech opposite benefitted from the trust given him by Lorenzetti (Nelli out for a physical problem), playing one of his best match with Trentino Volley. He’s the author of 24 points, 68% in smashes, 2 blocks and 5 aces, that praised him as the mvp. Besides the players in zone 1 and 2, also Urnaut and Solé did well (73% in the first time, with 4 blocks). Without Giannotti, covered by Milan, Padova played well only in the first set, using the “surprise” effect, and then disappeared from the field.
