Three more days of training for Diatec Trentino before leaving again for their last international away match of 2017. On Tuesday, indeed, the yellow-blues are going to Poland in order to play against the defending champion team of Poland, Zaksa Kedzierzyn-Kozle, so competing in the match at the top of Pool E. The match is taking place on Wednesday December 20th at 8:30pm. It will be a match at the top since both the two teams obtained all the three points during the first round phase and will compete so as to reach the first position in the group ranking before Christmas.
The match against the red-blues, who are still undefeated in PlusLiga after thirteen days, has become a tradition in the European field for Trentino Volley; Zaska is in fact the Polish opponent against whom the yellow-blues have played most times: six times in total, out of sixteen matches played against Polish teams (five teams in total)
The Club of Via Trener, indeed, also played against Belchatow (4 times), Cszestochowa (2 times), Rzeszow (2 times) and Jastrzebski (2 times). The balance sheet is largely positive for Diatec Trentino, since it won fourteen out of sixteen matches and only lost two times. But one of the two defeats happened precisely against Zaska six years ago (on December 14th 2011, 2-3). It was the first time the two teams played one against the other and event then it happened during the round phase of the Champions League.
After that time Trentino Volley always succeeded, winning 3-0 in the Azoty Arena on December 22nd 2011, 3-1 on November 21st 2012 and at the tie break on March 24th 2015, that time at the semifinal of CEV Cup. The other two matches took place in PalaTrento and ended 3-0 on November 14th 2012 and 3-1 on March 28th 2015 (last time that the teo teams played one against the other).
On Tuesday December 19th Trentino Diatec is going back to Poland for the first time after the Final Four of 2016 CEV Champions League, played in Krackow on April 16th and 17th 2016, in which the team ranked at second position after Zenit Kazan. The Club of via Traner has already played 12 matches in this Country and won 9 of them; the last one was against Lube on April 16th 2016 (Champions semifinal).
