Diatec Trentino back in Trento in the early evening. After the second deserved victory in Finland within a month, the yellow-blue team is now back in town after a very exhausting trip: they reached Helsinki by coach, took two different flights (the first one to Frankfurt and the second one from Germany to Verona) and traveled on the A22 again by coach before arriving in Trento.
The 3-0 victory versus Valepa Sastamala in going match of the round of sixteen of CEV Cup 2017 made the trip less exhausting; the qualification to next round is now only two sets far and the yellow-blue team will surely try to gain it in the return match on Wednesday, February 15th at PalaTrento. The resumption of the training is already scheduled for Saturday afternoon at PalaTrento, when Angelo Lorenzetti will direct the only training session for the match of the 21st day of SuperLega, which will be versus Revivre Milano on February 5th at PalaYamamay of Busto Arsizio (Varese).
“We needed a victory such the one we gained in Sastamala to move on from the Final Four of Coppa Italia of last weekend – said Tine Urnaut, best scorer of the yellow-blue team in Sastamala with 16 personal scored points – We don't want absolutely to forget what we did at Unipol Arena because we still consider it an important step in our season, but gaining a victory was absolutely the best way possible to show our hunger for more victories, we never back down. Never. Valepa was good to make the game hard for us in the first two sets, working well in service and defense; winning those two sets showed how this team could be determined. We needed clarity of mind, a quality that we proved to have. Now the quarterfinals are closer”.
"We're back to Trento only for few ours – continued the Slovenian spiker - ; we will have to pack our bags already on Saturday to play another away match. The match versus Milano could be harder than how it seems, despite the great gap in ranking between the two teams. It starts for us, with next match, the final rush of regular season; we would like to confirm our second place in raking and and that is way we can't afford to lose a single point before the matches versus Verona and Civitanova. This is why we will need to play versus Busto Arsizio with the determination we showed in Finland. The second place in Coppa Italia proves that the road we took at the start of this new year is the right one”.
