The jersey numbers chosen by the athletes of Trentino Volley for season 2017/18, which will officially starts on Saturday October 7th with the semi-final match of Del Monte® Supercoppa Italiana 2017 versus Sir Safety Conad Perugia at Eurosuole in Civitanova Matche, are now official. Below is the complete list:

Half of the ten new players will have a jersey number never used before in their career: the choices made by Hoag, Vettori, Teppan, Partenio e De Pandis are then something completely new. For the others will be instead a confirm of the jersey number that they wore during last season in other clubs (Kovacevic, Kozamernik, Cavuto and Eder), or a return to the past, as for Zingel who will pass from number 1 (which is Kaziyski’s sole property in Trento) to number 11 (jersey number used during his two first seasons in Verona).
The three players who were already in the roster last year kept their jersey numbers, obviously including Simone Giannelli, who will keep on with number 9. The most curious and interesting statistic is related to Giannelli’s jersey: number 9 is in fact the only one number always used during the seventeen years of activity of the Club of via Trener; it was used it in the past by famous players like Grbic, Nascimento, Sala, Hübner, Bernardi and Lavorato, who was the first historic captain.
