The 3-0 victory of Wednesday night against Exprivia Molfetta allowed Diatec Trentino to end the home matches in regular season with a great result: it is the fourth time in the history of Trentino Volley, in which they never lose at PalaTrento during the whole championship, winning all the thirteen matches scheduled.
The yellow-blue team achieved the same result in the seasons 2003/04, 2009/10 and 2014/15; seasons where it always got the first place won the championship. In this championship that will end on Sunday with the away match in Monza, Diatec Trentino in the home matches obtained 38 points out of 39; the only point lost was against Gi Group in the 3-2 win on the 27th November 2016. Nor Lube Civitanova, already sure of the first place in the championship with still two games to play, was able to keep such an astonishing pace in its home. Even if they win tonight against Modena, they will not be able to top Trentino Volley's figures because of the two tie-break victories (against Padova and Perugia) that guarantee them maximum 37 points. The statistical data of the matches played at PalaTrento in SuperLega 2016/17 show eight 3-0 wins (last five in a row) and four 3-1 victories (against Perugia, Civitanova, Sora and Padova). The last set lost in championship was almost two months ago: 26th December 2016, first set won by Padova; after that 18-25 in regular season, in the home matches the score is eighteen sets won in a row.
Examining also the matches played in the Cup (CEV and Italy), the home invincibility last eighteen games; the most recent defeat was on April 25th 2016: 1-3 against Modena in game 4 of the Play Off semifinal.
