Trento, February 9th 2015

With the victory of the fourteenth season out of a total of seventeen matches played in Super League regular season UnipolSai 2014/15, ENERGY T.I. Diatec Trentino has regained the first place ranking.
After fifteen days of absence, Birarelli and his teammates raised their position by taking advantage of Modena’s weakness, to overcome their direct competitor. Unlike the previous record, which they won on December 28th, thanks to 3-0 against Piacenza (who also shared equal points with Modena until the day of the knock-out of Molfetta) the one obtained yesterday with 3-0 of Mediolanum Forum has been a first solo. The last time that Trentino Volley had been at the top of the list of the Italian league was one year and eleven months ago: March 10th 2013, the final day of the regular season 2012/13 closed with the away win in Ravenna.
The affirmation in Assago was also important from the statistical point of view: the 3-0 imposed on Revivre coincided, in fact, with the 200th away win in the fifteen years history of Trentino Volley, which far from PalaTrento has played a total of 320 matches finding success in 62.5% of cases and writing many important pages of its list, away from its land. To the excellent external role that contributed significantly to the great results of the last eight years, considering that between 2007 and 2015 victories were 151 (three times more than those collected between 2000 and 2006). To achieve the first one, the yellow-blue Club had to wait for six months from the date of its birth: Trentino Volley celebrated its first victory far from PalaTrento on January 5th 2001, after conquering the Pala San Lazzaro of Padova for 3-1. The most prolific season with external performance has so far been the 2011/12: 25 wins out of 29 matches played; only in another year (the 2009/10) Trento obtained such a high number of successes but with a greater number of matches played (25 of 32). The opponent they faced several times is Macerata (26 matches far from Trentino) which, together with Cuneo, is also the most defeated (13 wins).
Below is a detailed list of the most significant away wins of Trentino Volley’s history:
