The first interview of Jan Stokr as a new player of Trentino Volley, the Czech opposite returned to Trento after three seasons between Russia and Korea.

Jan Welcome back! As has been reflected on your life the return to Trento after three seasons?
"To play again for Trento for me is something incredible, I did not really believe until I signed the contract. After the experience in Korea I had many offers from different countries: China, Japan, Turkey and Italy, I was ready to evaluate them at least until I received that of Trentino Volley. I was surprised for the ability to come back and I accepted immediately because for me this Company and its fans are special. I'm really happy, in 2013 I said that I would have liked to come back."
Have you followed Trentino Volley these last three years?
"Yes, in Russia and in Korea I have always informed about the results and I did the distant cheering. Being a close friend of Martin Nemec, last season I was even more informed and this year we followed the same with him a lot of games together. Seeing the results obtained in the last two years you can only make compliments to the Company, to the players and the coach. Stoytchev is a very demanding technician but the results give him always right. I talked to him before accepting the proposal of Trento, he asked me if I was motivated and ready to work as I always have. My answer could only be yes."
What can you offer to this team?
“Compared to three seasons ago I will be definitely one of the oldest of the squad and this makes me feel a little weird also because there are still few companions with whom I had shared my first experience: Lanza, Colaci and Giannelli, who I had seen in action at very young age. But I have the great advantage of knowing the environment, the Company and the staff, and so it will be easy to put myself back in this reality. Put at the disposal my experience and my will to win, then if there will be someone who will need advice or support I’ll pull back but I certainly do not see myself not very good in teaching volleyball to someone. I would rather work and grow together."
The clearest memory that links you to Trentino Volley?”
"Those already experienced were three wonderful seasons, which allowed me to win many trophies and people were able to know me as a player even better around the world. I will always be grateful to Trentino Volley for everything it has given me and the emotions together. The most beautiful was certainly the last game, Game 5 of the championship final won at tie-break against Piacenza in 2013. It was an amazing thing and as it came, I think anyone will ever forget it."
For the Trentino Volley’s fans that have always particularly appreciated you, what message you want to give?”
"I'm glad to meet them again and I hope that we can resume the interrupted speech of 2013 both in terms of feeling and regards the victories."
