These three points”, commented Radostin Stoytchev, coach of ENERGY T.I. Diatec at the end of the game, “are very important and have a huge value as they have arrived against one of the strongest teams in the championship, and after a very intense and exhausting session of matches. All the more I am satisfied with the result, but also with the team’s performance who suffered and bit the bullet to get this victory, just as I had asked them to do on the eve of the match. It wasn’t easy to find ourselves again after having lost the first set in the final sprint: the boys grew very well in all the fundamentals, but particularly in the ones concerning the break point, block and defence. Giannelli’s entrance gave us a new boost: he is very good, accurate and clean when directing, and the experiment was absolutely positive. This victory is vital not only for the rank points, but also for the morale”.
ENERGY T.I. Diatec Trentino will be back on the court as soon as this Thursday, 22nd January, for an official match at PalaTrento, when at 8,30 p.m. it will host the Romanians of SCM U Craiova for the quarter-finals’ rematch of the 2015 CEV Cup. The nearest date of the SuperLeague UnipolSai instead is on Sunday 25th January, at 5 p.m. on the Exprivia Neldiritto Molfetta court (sixteenth day, live on RAI Sport 1 and Radio Dolomiti).
