Trento, October 8th 2016
Tomorrow, October 9th, there will be the second round of 2016/2017 SuperLega UnipolSai, after yestarday’s match Ravenna-Latina (3-2). It’s time for Diatec Trentino to play its first away match and the team will travel to Sora to challenge new promoted Biosì Indexa Sora; tip-off is scheduled at 6pm at PalaGlobo, live commentary on Radio Dolomiti and live streaming on Lega Volley Channel at www.sportube.tv.
HERE DIATEC TRENTINO After a whole month of training Lorenzetti’s team needs to return from Sora, furthest away match of the season, with 3 points in order to keep up with top teams of the League; fundamental to prepare this first challenge was the match against Friedrichshafen last Thursday as well as four training session. Besides tactics, technique and physical condition, Angelo Lorenzetti ’s expectations are focused on motivation and mind-set. “ We’re about to play two away matches, and I consider the one against Sora very important to check our situation and personality. Biosì Indexa will play its first home match in front of home supporters, their players will be mentally free from pressure. We have to contain their enthusiasm, focusing on what we’ve been working on during last training period. I’m looking forward to understand how we’ll react playing away from PalaTrento.” Trentino Volley will arrive in Sora tonight, after taking the train to Rome, Colleferro and a bus to Sora. All the players will be available for the coaching staff. Tomorrow’s match will be number 663 in TV’s history, number 406 during regular season, and the team will try to put hands on the 224th away win, last one dates back to April 21st against Modena in PalaPanini. It will be an important match for Daniele Mazzone, former Sora player, who played during 2012/2013 season his last Serie A2 championship before stepping up in Serie A1 with Molfetta’s jersey.
RIVALS Sunday’s match at PalaGlobo will be an historical event for Biosì Indexa Sora, irrespective of the final result. After the unlucky debut at PalaPanini in Modena (they lost 3-0), the newly promoted Latium team will compete for the first home match in its history in the SuperLeague against Diatec Trentino. The event is eagerly awaited in the whole province of Frosinone and probably it will be seen live by an exceptional number of supporters, ready to push the team as they did in the past in the Serie A2. For the first season in the superLeague, the team chose the experience of Bruno Bagnoli, after three seasons of inactivity. He was the first ever coach of Trentino Volley (he led the team between 200 and 2003, 40 victories in 88 official matches) and now he could count on young players. The couple in zone 4 Rosso (former Cuneo and Padua) and Kalinin(Russian outside hitter, from Ufa) has the most experience. The ID card and the potentialities speak in favor of the Belarusian opposite hitter Miskevich, of the central hitters Mattei (former Latina and Padua) and Gostev (a couple of seasons in Italy with Monza and Verona) and of the Bulgarian setter Seganov, who trained for a month with Diatec Trentino a year ago.
PRECEDENTS Sunday’s match will be the first ever match between the two teams. Trentino Volley played an official match in the area of Frosinone:April 15th 2012, Trentino won 3-0 against Latina in the Palasport of Frosinone, it was the second match of the championship semi-final (PalaBianchini, for reasons of capacity, couldn’t host the important event).
REFEREES The match will be directed by Fabrizio Pasquali (from Ascoli Piceno, in Serie A since 1997 and international referee since 2001) and Armando Simbari from Milan – in Serie A since 2007 and this year international referee for the first time. Both took part in 2016 Del Monte® Italian Super Cup in Modena; in that occasion Simbari also directed Diatec Trentino, in the final for the third place lost 2-3 against Civitanova on September 25t h .The most recent precedent with Pasquali was April 12th 2016,Trentino lost against Modena at the tie break in the second match at PalaTrento.
