The preparation program for the big match (19th turn) against Perugia lasted two hours and a half. On the central field of PalaTrento, the technical staff proposed the team (with all players) a session focused on technique and tactic, most of the exercises dedicated to the game six against six. The match scheduled on Sunday at PalaEvangelisti (starts at 6 p.m. – direct transmitted by RAI Sport 1 and Radio Dolomiti) will see the second and the third teams of the regular season SuperLega UnipolSai 2016/17, with only one point from one another. They are two of the teams that best perform great blocks and aces – elements able to make the difference in the breakpoint. Sir Safety Conad is in the second place in the ranking of the number of aces (120) and Zaytsev made more (37) aces than all the others. Then we have Diatec Trentino, with 11 aces less (109 - fourth place), realized by a major number of players (Giannelli 23, Nelli and Lanza 17, Stokr and Urnaut 15). Concerning the blocks, the Umbrian team stands out, thanks to 177 blocks (first place in the championship with Ravenna), that highlight the completeness of Podrascanin (46, the best of the championship); Lorenzetti’s team ranks fourth, with 163 blocks and Giannelli as best blocker (41). Besides blocks and aces, the defenders can make the difference too; therefore, Lorenzetti wants the team to make the step up in order to shine. “Playing a great volleyball means also defend a lot and exploit the work of the second line in the best way possible.
