Mitar Djuric spikes against Diatec Trentino three blocks

Neither Calzedonia Verona and the atmosphere of a very felt “derby of Adige” are able to stop a Diatec Trentino from the top places of the ranking of SuperLega UnipolSai 2016/17. Thanks to the three points collected tonight and to Modena’s defeat, the Yellow-Blues get to the second place with the team from Emilia, but with a match still to be played.
This evening at PalaOlimpia the team of Angelo Lorenzetti has confirmed the great moment of shape, defeating Calzedonia which from the very beginning has struggled to keep the pace of the visiting team; Diatec Trentino worked well in break thanks to a block-defence that collected many points. With an extraordinary intensity from the 3 metres line and an incisive service (6 aces), Lanza and his team-mates backed into a corner the team of Verona, with a big point-gap before the end of every set. Giannelli could set great balls for the whole attack finding in Urnaut (13 points, 58%), Nelli (11, 64%) and Daniele Mazzone (10, 75% and 3 blocks), three inspired points of reference. Great performance also of Lanza and Colaci, while in the home team it has been a difficult match for the former players Djuric (a good start but he slowed down during the match) and Ferreira.
