The remake of the Final of Del Monte® Coppa Italia 2017, which was played two weeks ago in Bologna, confirms both the superiority of Cucine Lube Civitanova and the curse of Eurosuole Forum for Diatec Trentino. The big match of SuperLega UnipolSai 2016/17 scheduled for the fourth from last round of regular season has seen the team from the Marches win for 3-0 in front of its public and take for granted the final first place. The third defeat in the second half of the season will force Diatec Trentino to collect points in the next three matches in order to keep the second place, which from tonight has to be shared with Perugia (which won against Monza for 3-1). The team of Lorenzetti had to postpone the first victory in its history in the new sport centre of Civitanova Marche because it suffered the blow of the opponents especially in service (10 aces) and blocks (11 direct points). The Yellow-blues have been able to control these two fundamentals of the opponent team till 20-20 of the first set, then the match has become a one-way match: with the former Juantorena (mvp of the match with 14 points, 3 aces and 67%) and Sokolov (best scorer with 19 points) who were very inspired, Diatec Trentino couldn’t react. Urnaut’s personal inspiration (best player of Diatec Trentino) and Van de Voorde’s performance haven’t been enough to try to fix a score-situation which had become more and more difficult as time went on.
