Match report. The starting six of the two team are almost similar to the one of the going match of Wednesday evening. Angelo Lorenzetti starts with Giannelli as setter, Stokr as opposite, Urnaut and Lanza in position 4, Van de Voorde and Solé as middle-blockers, Colaci as libero. Giampaolo Madei answers with Hernan Ruperez as setter, Konecny as opposite, Alves Cabral and Barnes as spikers, Collin and Jouffry (instead of Jansen Vandoorn) as middle-blockers, Henno as libero. The beginning of the match is well balanced, with great services (3-4, 6-5). After the first technical time-out, Trento gets an advantage of 2 points (11-9) thanks to Urnaut, but Konecny recovers (14-14). The fight is hard (19-19), then Urnaut, in zone 2, attacks out (19-21), but then recovers with an ace (21-21 and then 23-23). They reach 24-24 and then 26-26. Trento cancels the six set balls without being able to have one. At the seventh, Tours win the match at 29-31 with an ace of Jouffry.

In the beginning of the second match, Trentino Diatec reacts and, with Giannelli at service and then with a block, reaches 8-5. Collin, with his great services, recovers but then Giannelli with an ace gets another advantage (12-10). Stokr plays a great performance and scores the +3 (14-11), followed by Lanza, that realizes the ace of the 18-14. Tours finishes the time-puts and hasn’t a great impact, but at 24-17 Alves Cabral is great at service (with 2 aces) and recovers. In the end, Trentino wins the set thanks to Lanza (25-22).

In the third set, Stokr leads the group (7-7 and then 10-7) in the attack and then with an ace. Tours tries to reply with Barnes (124-13) but then two mistakes expand the gap (15-13). After the second technical time-out, Barnes is great at the service: he reaches 16-16 and then Konecny gets the advantage (18-21). The Czech player allows the home team to win the set (22-25).

The yellow-blue team starts swaying (5-8); Lanza tries to reply in the attack (10-12), but Tours doesn’t give the other team any possibility (13-16, 16-20). Lorenzetti responds with Antonov (in the place of Utnaut), Nelli (in the place of Stokr) and Daniele Mazzone (in the place of Van de Voorde) but the gap is too big and Trento isn’t able to fill it, losing 23-25-

The teams play the golden set, characterized by a great performance of the Czech player (4-7). Stokr recovers (12-12) but then Alves Cabral closes the match 15-13. The Cup stays in France.
